VSKYLABS' X-Plane 12 aircraft includes simplified NESIS III-style avionics and an optional head-up display. Those instruments belong to the simulator implementation.

History & design
A gyroplane grows from a light-aircraft workshop
Jokertrike began as a machining business in 2005 and developed its first tandem motorised hang-glider in 2007. In 2012 it began gyroplane development with German partner MST GmbH, building the experience behind its NISUS line.

An earlier design reaches an international audience
The company displayed its earlier Joker gyroplane at CIGAC in Xi’an in October 2015. That history describes a predecessor with different weights and engines; those figures are not substituted for the later NISUS specification.

Systems & details
Separate lift and propulsion
The rotor supplies lift while an engine-driven propeller provides forward thrust. Jokertrike lists pneumatic rotor trim and adjustable pedals, with carbon-composite cabin and tail structure supported by a steel-tube frame.
Match the engine and rotor to the model
The current range includes Sport, Comfort and Platinum packages with different engines. The technical table used here identifies a 141 hp Rotax 915 iS and an 8.50 m rotor; older brochures and other packages should not be treated as identical configurations.
