AirframeDB combines source-linked reference information with public-domain and openly licensed photographs. Each kind of material has its own terms.

Photographs

Photographs are selected from Wikimedia Commons. Each image links to its creator credit, original file and recorded licence. Commons is a collection of individually licensed files; it does not make every image public domain.

Images are resized, converted to WebP and cropped for display. Where an image uses a ShareAlike licence, its adapted version is offered under that same licence. The photo credits identify the applicable version and link to its terms.

Aircraft information and source material

Aircraft background is summarised from linked sources. Facts, original writing, photographs and published documents are different kinds of material. A publicly accessible source is not necessarily public domain, and a citation does not grant permission to copy it.

Where background is adapted from Wikipedia, the source article is linked on the aircraft page. Those background summaries are available under CC BY-SA 4.0, with AirframeDB credited for the adaptation and the linked article credited as the source. This does not change the separate terms for photographs, manuals or other material.

Manuals and developer documentation

Manuals, technical documentation and pilot articles are linked to their publishers. AirframeDB provides limited summaries and source context, rather than distributing the original documents. Copyright remains with the respective rights holders; consult each publisher before reusing their material.

Names and trademarks

Aircraft, simulator and developer names identify the subjects of this reference. They remain the property of their respective owners. Inclusion does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or a partnership with AirframeDB.
