The company and its aircraft
Cirrus began in 1984 with the VK-30 homebuilt project. The company later developed certificated single-engine aircraft, including the SR20 and SR22, and established its headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota. Its history connects kit-aircraft beginnings with the piston singles and personal jet now familiar to simulator users.
