The company and its aircraft
Marcel Bloch founded the company in 1929. After the Second World War, he adopted the Dassault name, and the company followed in 1947. Its later combination with Breguet and the adoption of the Dassault Aviation name form part of the history behind today’s military aircraft and business jet programmes.
