The company and its aircraft
Pierre-Georges Latécoère founded the Toulouse company in 1917. In its early decades it became known for aircraft including large seaplanes such as the six-engined 631. Its later industrial work shifted toward aerostructures and onboard systems for other aircraft manufacturers.
