AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURER

Spartan

The Tulsa manufacturer behind the luxurious Spartan Executive.

The company and its aircraft

The company adopted the Spartan name in 1928 under William Skelly. J. Paul Getty later acquired the business, which became known for the Executive aircraft. After the Second World War, production shifted away from aircraft toward trailers, giving the company a history beyond its small group of aeroplanes.
