Meet Aérospatiale Alouette III
Sud Aviation developed the Alouette III as a larger follow-on to the Alouette II. The design uses a single turbine, a three-bladed main rotor and wheeled landing gear. It served civilian and military operators in transport, rescue and many other roles.
Different engine versions and mission installations appeared during its long production life. In the simulator, package-specific flight-model options and external-load tools belong alongside the cockpit description, while the broader aircraft history provides context for its working role.

The bucket changes the aircraft's load
The Alouette III manual describes water-bucket filling and emptying as changes to the carried weight. It also identifies the release binding and mission controls. That connection between a visible attachment and the load it represents is a useful detail when exploring this working helicopter.
