Halo arrives in Flight Simulator
Microsoft announced the Halo Infinite Pelican for Flight Simulator on 12 June 2022, with the add-on available that day. It was a collaboration with the Halo franchise, bringing a fictional spacecraft into the simulator’s Earth setting.

A separate release within the anniversary year
The Pelican announcement accompanied the preview of Flight Simulator’s 40th Anniversary Edition. The crossover arrived in June, ahead of the anniversary edition planned for November. Its background belongs to Halo and the simulator collaboration rather than the history of a physical airframe.

A crossover released ahead of the anniversary edition
The June 2022 announcement names the partnership with the Halo franchise and 343 Industries and places the Pelican in the in-simulator Marketplace. Its release was separate from the historical aircraft, gliders and helicopters previewed for November’s anniversary update.
