History & design
From the Glasflugel 304 to the Shark
HpH acquired the production technology and documentation for the Glasflugel 304 in 1997. Its updated 304CZ was followed by the 304C Wasp, a Standard Class version. The company describes the later Shark family as a new design programme drawing on that accumulated manufacturing experience.
The 304 name therefore covers a lineage, not one interchangeable glider. The selected simulator aircraft is the unpowered 18-metre 304S Shark; engine-equipped members of the wider family should not supply its propulsion assumptions.

Systems & details
Flaps, ballast and energy management
STMA describes an X-Plane 12 model developed from HpH polar data. Negative flap settings, cockpit ballast controls and separate variometer and speed-to-fly modes make configuration part of the soaring task. The MacCready setting changes the instrument's speed guidance; it does not add engine power to this unpowered version.
