A tandem member of the Falke family
Egon Scheibe’s Tandem-Falke first flew in May 1971. Its fore-and-aft seating contrasts with the side-by-side SF-25; the handbook also identifies experience with the Bergfalke sailplane as part of its design background.

A modernized simulator cockpit
VSKYLABS began its SF-28A project in 2024, choosing a modern-conversion-style cockpit with simplified NESIS displays. That equipment belongs to the simulated rendition rather than every historical SF-28A.

Systems & details
Making the engine installation disappear into the glide
The handbook describes a feathering propeller and a closable cooling-air door to reduce drag with the engine stopped. A rudder-linked tailwheel and wing outriggers support ground handling, while the tandem arrangement puts the front occupant ahead of the wing and the rear occupant over the main spar.
