The SeaRey combines a strut-braced high wing with an enclosed two-seat cockpit and a boat-shaped hull. Its amphibious landing gear makes both water and runway operations part of the design. The engine sits above and behind the cabin, leaving a broad forward view. FlightSim Studio’s SeaRey Elite comes in Light and Advanced editions.

History & design
The aircraft behind the simulation
FlightSim Studio based its SeaRey on an owner’s aircraft. Its account follows the owner’s 2019 purchase and flight home to Nova Scotia, then seasonal operation between an airfield hangar and a lakeside base. This is the reference aircraft’s story rather than a claim about every SeaRey.

Factory and homebuilt identities
The developer includes factory-style and homebuilt versions because instrument panels vary substantially between examples. Their shared amphibious layout does not imply identical cockpit equipment.

Systems & details
An amphibian’s ground and water equipment
The Advanced edition adds an anchor simulation and an interactive walkaround, while the systems include fuel-pump logic for the high-mounted pusher engine. The published feature list also describes a simulated autopilot. These implementation choices belong to the selected edition rather than every physical SeaRey.
