Meet SOCATA MS.893 Rallye
Aeroplane Heaven’s MS.893 Rallye combines fixed tricycle gear, automatic leading-edge slats and trailing-edge flaps. The slats respond automatically to the wing’s airflow, while the pilot selects the trailing-edge flap configuration.
History & design
The Rallye within the Morane-Saulnier and SOCATA line
The Rallye belongs to the light-aircraft line built by Morane-Saulnier and subsequently SOCATA, the predecessor companies that Daher identifies in its support history. The family is out of production, while Daher retains technical support, parts provision and component overhaul capabilities. That continuing support history distinguishes an established aircraft family from a simulator-only design. The MS.893 selected here is one member of the range, not a specification for every Rallye.

Two different wing devices
Aeroplane Heaven identifies the leading-edge slats separately from the flaps. The manual documents elevator and rudder trim and states that its implementation has no autopilot. The Rallye’s configuration story is therefore centred on its wing devices and manually managed trim rather than an automatic flight-control installation.
The rendition deliberately changes performance
Aeroplane Heaven states that it increased some performance for its simulator rendition. The guide therefore should not be read as an aircraft flight manual or used to establish real-aircraft climb and speed figures. Its useful implementation details include the separate slat and flap behaviour, manual trim controls and absence of an autopilot.
