The company and its aircraft
British Aerospace brought together major parts of the British aircraft industry. Its later acquisition of Marconi Electronic Systems in 1999 formed BAE Systems. Aircraft developed or marketed under the BAe name retain that historical identity here, including the regional jet family represented by the BAe 146 and Avro RJ.
