History & design
A design carried through several manufacturers
After Handley Page’s collapse, Scottish Aviation continued the Jetstream programme. British Aerospace subsequently developed the 31/32 line. This history predates the later Jetstream 41, whose dimensions must not be substituted for those of the 32.

The higher-weight Jetstream
EUROCONTROL describes the Jetstream 32 as a higher-takeoff-weight development of the 31, in service from 1988. It retained the compact commuter layout, with two crew and up to nineteen passengers.

Systems & details
The simulator’s control lock has its own history
JRollon’s account explains how the original add-on implemented a physical control lock by temporarily removing joystick assignments. The published change list later states that the control locker no longer removes axes. That distinction matters when interpreting older reports of unresponsive controls.
Reference dimensions, not a flight plan
The specifications here identify the JS32 airframe. EUROCONTROL explicitly labels its performance database indicative; its planning figures should not replace the selected aircraft’s approved operating material.
