The company and its aircraft

Hugo Junkers founded his business in Dessau in 1895, initially producing boilers and radiators. The company later became known for pioneering all-metal aircraft. Its subsequent wartime aircraft and engine production took place after the founder had been removed from the business by the Nazi regime.
