The company and its aircraft
T. Claude Ryan and Frank Mahoney founded Ryan Airline Company in 1925. Alongside its early airline activity, the business became associated with aircraft construction and the NYP built for Charles Lindbergh. This historical company should be distinguished from the later Ryan Aeronautical business.
