The company and its aircraft
Short Brothers began in London in 1908 and later became closely associated with Belfast. Its history includes early aircraft production, large flying boats and turboprop transports. Subsequent ownership changes concern the business; the SC.7 Skyvan remains a distinct Short aircraft programme.
