AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURER

SOCATA

The French aircraft manufacturer whose name followed Morane-Saulnier.

The company and its aircraft

SOCATA took its name in 1966 after Sud Aviation acquired Morane-Saulnier. Based at Tarbes, it produced light aircraft and aerostructures for other manufacturers. It later became part of EADS and then Daher, connecting the SOCATA name with both the TB light-aircraft range and the wider TBM history.
