The company and its aircraft
The Tupolev design bureau developed a wide range of Soviet civil and military aircraft. Its Tu designations identify those programmes, including the Tu-154 transport represented here. The later Russian company continues the name within a different corporate setting, so historical aircraft and present-day company information require separate date context.
