Aircraft and simulator background
The Quasar is Flying Fries' futuristic simulator design. Its creator describes developing the idea from 2023, with the aircraft's design and features changing during the project. K.A.R.A. voice assistance, interactive checklists and cockpit cautions support its simulated systems.

The aircraft has no flaps. Flap bindings instead arm F.A.C.T., while the AFCS shapes and stabilises the pitch and roll controls and operates their trims. Direct mode disables that shaping.

History & design
A fictional aircraft developed for the simulator
Lord Frites dates the Quasar idea to 2023 and describes a design that changed during development. The manual credits Steiny with flight-model work and CaptainKenobi and Pseud with contributions to features, tools and code. Its inspirations include other imagined high-speed aircraft, but the cockpit and systems form Flying Fries’ own simulator project.
The manual’s propulsion and energy story belongs to this fictional setting. It is not evidence of a manufactured aircraft or a demonstrated propulsion technology. For the simmer, the useful distinction is between that narrative and the controls actually documented for flying the add-on, including AFCS shaping, Direct mode and the separate high-speed systems.

Different automatic controls for different speed ranges
Version 1.3.0 describes a custom autothrottle operating from 400 KIAS to Mach 7.8. The G3000 autopilot has a different envelope: the manual says not to use it above 50,000 ft or Mach 2. A high-speed autothrottle capability therefore does not mean the ordinary autopilot supports the same flight conditions.
