HOW IT CAME TO BE

History & design

From naval liaison to preservation

The four-seat Paris combined a small jet cockpit with a liaison-aircraft cabin. Armor Aero Passion's account records three decades of French naval use and the withdrawal of the remaining operational aircraft on 6 October 1997.

Returning one to civil flying involved more than acquiring an airframe. The association worked with the French defence authorities on demilitarisation and replacement of asbestos-containing components while preserving the aircraft for flight. Its September 2007 account describes the aircraft becoming civil in September 2000 and the further administrative work needed for transfer.
