History & design
The Army’s Black Hawk enters service
The Army fielded the UH-60 in 1979. Naval Seahawk and other service derivatives followed, but their mission equipment and airframes evolved separately. The common family does not make an Army Black Hawk and a maritime MH-60 interchangeable.

What changed with the M model
Sikorsky presents the UH-60M as a modernization of the established utility platform. Its changes include T700-GE-701D engines, wide-chord blades, a digital cockpit and integrated health monitoring, aimed at improved performance and supportability.

Digital systems are part of the M configuration
The brochure describes coupled flight controls, GPS/inertial navigation and moving-map displays. Those features are specific to the M reference; they should not be assumed in an earlier A or L cockpit or in every third-party simulation.
