The company and its aircraft
Bombardier began in Québec in 1942 with Joseph-Armand Bombardier’s snowmobiles. It later expanded into rail equipment and aircraft through acquisitions, before selling many of those businesses and concentrating on business jets. Challenger and Global are its principal business jet families; the Learjet name has its own history within the group.
