The company and its aircraft
The original de Havilland Canada company was created in 1928 to build aircraft in Canada and went on to develop its own designs. The current company acquired historic aircraft programmes in 2019. The name therefore connects more than one corporate period, including the histories of the Beaver, Caribou, Twin Otter and Dash 8.
