The company and its aircraft
Piper’s history stretches back to the late 1920s, and the company became one of the major American general aviation manufacturers. Its later base in Vero Beach, Florida, is closely associated with the business. The Cub, PA-28, Comanche and twin-engine designs have separate development histories within the Piper name.
