FOR AIRCRAFT DEVELOPERS

Research aircraft and systems

Find aircraft background, systems descriptions and manuals for the aircraft you are researching. Each note keeps its source and version context close by.

Simulator manuals describe the developer’s implementation. Aircraft background is research-based; pilot accounts describe an individual’s experience. Coverage here is limited to the selected notes and linked resources, not the full contents of every manual.

The Turbolet project

Ksgy's first Turbolet release appeared in 2011 with a 2D panel. The 3D cockpit was released on 27 April 2016 after several years of development. The project page now separates passenger and cargo downloads by X-Plane generation and credits independent AviTab and VR integrations.

Let L-410 UVP-E

The L-410 UVP-E is documented in the operating manual linked by ksgy's Turbolet project. The simulator download page provides distinct passenger and cargo archives for X-Plane 12, with older X-Plane 11 packages retained separately.

The project began with a simpler 2D cockpit and later acquired a 3D flight deck. Its author also links optional AviTab and VR work by other contributors and identifies the x-flight.su update as separate from the original aircraft.

Lockheed C-130 Hercules ↗Research-based aircraft background

Lockheed C-130 Hercules

Lockheed designed the Hercules for troops, freight and medical evacuation, with a high wing, four turboprops, a large cargo compartment and rear loading ramp. The airframe also supported tanker, weather, scientific and other specialist missions.

The family spans several engine and cockpit generations. Classic Hercules and C-130J aircraft use different propulsion and crew arrangements, with further changes for specialist equipment.
