Carenado’s entry in the Local Legends series

Microsoft identifies Carenado as the developer of Local Legend V, released in June 2022. The announcement describes ten liveries, including Navy, Aviator’s Club and civilian schemes. Its historical descriptions of floats and skis concern the real aircraft family and do not establish those configurations in the add-on.

Beechcraft Model 18 Twin Beech

The Twin Beech is a low-wing, twin-engine aircraft recognisable by its twin fins and, in its familiar configuration, tailwheel landing gear. Production began in the 1930s and continued for decades. Operators adapted it to a wide range of commercial and military jobs.

Different Model 18 derivatives can carry different undercarriages, cabin layouts and equipment. The type sits between a light private twin and a larger airliner, offering a useful view of how small-scale passenger and cargo transport worked before the turboprop became commonplace.

Flysimware’s product page describes G5 and G3X panel options, with GNS 530, PMS50 GTN 750 and TDS GTN 750Xi integrations. The third-party navigators require their corresponding products. The tablet provides checklists, loading, fuel, weather and configuration pages.

The downloaded v1.4 manual additionally indexes steam-gauge panels. It warns that some controls need the supplied hardware-binding documentation rather than default simulator bindings, and that TDS GTN750Xi is unavailable on Xbox. Its cover version differs from the older v1.3 download label on the website.

Beechcraft Sierra

The Sierra brought retractable landing gear and a constant-speed propeller to Beechcraft’s Musketeer line. Its broad cabin and low wing made it a practical personal aircraft and complex trainer. A24R, B24R and C24R identify successive versions, with differences in doors, equipment and detail refinements.

Flysimware represents the C24R. The accounts below describe particular real Sierras, including modified aircraft; their reported speeds and equipment are specific to those examples.
