Disconnecting an upper mode can leave SAS active
The X-Plane SAS guide distinguishes trim release, upper-mode disconnection and the underlying stability system. Its published force-trim-release and autopilot-disconnect commands have different effects: disconnecting the upper modes can preserve SAS. The documented 44-knot threshold applies to mode availability, not to a universal helicopter operating limit.

Separate controls for trim, hydraulics and mission equipment
The X-Plane H125 manual identifies cyclic trim, force-trim release and autopilot-off controls. It also describes the collective-mounted hydraulic switch and separate sling-load and servo-test controls. These functions have distinct purposes even when a desktop setup assigns several of them to buttons on the same device.

Airbus H125
The H125 belongs to the AS350 lineage developed by Aérospatiale and continued through Eurocopter into Airbus Helicopters. Its broad cabin and single turbine support work ranging from passenger transport to observation and external-load operations.
The names reflect both the aircraft's history and its markets: Écureuil means squirrel, while AStar is familiar in North America. Older AS350 versions and the modern H125 should not be assumed to have identical equipment. The simulator entries below keep bundled aircraft and independent developers' interpretations distinct.

Helionix displays and mission equipment
HPG's archived H145 guide identifies the BK-117 D2 and separates Base Pack from Action Pack features. It documents Helionix display pages, GTN750 integration options, failures and maintenance, and the tablet interface. The Action Pack adds equipment such as a hoist, cargo hook and water bucket. This particular PDF is dated October 2022 and states MSFS 2020 scope; newer online documentation should be used for later changes.

Basic stabilisation, upper modes and trim release
HPG's AFCS reference distinguishes basic attitude stabilisation from upper modes such as altitude, airspeed, navigation and ground-trajectory control. Automatic trim is required for upper-mode operation, while cyclic trim release pauses the control logic for pilot input. The guide also describes follow-up-trim settings. Those modes are a substantial part of this add-on's identity, rather than a generic helicopter assistance switch.

Airbus H145
The H145 developed through the BK 117 and EC145 line. Its roomy cabin has made the family useful for emergency medical services, police work and passenger transport. Later H145 developments introduced the enclosed Fenestron tail rotor and, subsequently, a five-bladed main rotor.
An earlier EC145 photograph or manual can therefore show a different rotor and tail arrangement from a newer H145. Avionics and automatic flight-control equipment also depend on the generation and installation. The simulator's own model and developer documentation establish which configuration is represented.

Four-axis automation with a separate backup layer
HPG's H160 has a four-axis automatic flight-control system, two main computers and backup SAS. Cyclic trim release temporarily gives the pilot an input window, while beep trim changes meaning according to the active upper mode. The guide distinguishes autopilot-off, upper-mode-off and backup-cut actions, so those labels should not be collapsed into one generic disconnect.

Airbus H160
Airbus launched the H160 programme publicly in 2015, with the first flight that year. The design combines a composite-intensive airframe with distinctive swept main-rotor tips and an enclosed tail rotor. Its roles include passenger transport and public-service work.
HPG's simulator implementation places particular emphasis on its automatic flight-control system. The four-axis AFCS and its backup stability functions are different concepts from vibration control or simple joystick assistance, and the developer manual gives them their proper context.

Flight control and vibration control are separate systems
The H225 guide describes four-axis AFCS basic and upper modes, with trim-release controls for both cyclic and collective. It separately describes AVCS switches for cabin and cockpit vibration control. The similar-looking abbreviations refer to different systems: one manages flight control, while the other addresses vibration in the represented aircraft.

Airbus Helicopter H225
The H225, formerly EC225, developed the civilian Super Puma family into a long-range transport helicopter. It combines a substantial passenger cabin with twin turbine engines and a five-bladed main rotor. Offshore support, search and rescue, and government transport are among its roles.
Much of the aircraft's character lies in its integrated systems rather than a single headline performance figure. The HPG simulation's automatic flight controls and vibration-control system have separate functions; its manual is the source for what those systems do in that particular add-on.

The An-2 guide describes the real aircraft's automatic leading-edge slats, then identifies trim circuit breakers and the control lock in its simulator cockpit documentation. The overview and the implementation notes serve different purposes and are kept in their source context.

Antonov An-2
The An-2 first appeared in 1947. Its radial engine, braced biplane wings and fixed landing gear belong to an older visual vocabulary, but they served a durable utility design. The aircraft carried people and cargo and also worked in agriculture and other specialist roles.
Its size is easy to underestimate from photographs: this is a transport aircraft, not a two-seat sport biplane. The generous wing area and high-lift devices are part of its short-field design. Simulator variants and their manuals determine the available cockpit equipment and working configurations.
