Tupolev Tu-154 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Tupolev Tu-154

Designed in the 1960s, the Tu-154 served medium-range routes with three engines mounted around the rear fuselage and a high-mounted horizontal tail. It became a familiar sight across the Soviet Union and its successor states, and also flew with overseas airlines. The Felis simulation represents the Tu-154M; the original product and community continuations have distinct version scopes.

Vans Aircraft RV-10 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Vans Aircraft RV-10

The RV-10 first flew in 2003. It combines a low wing, fixed tricycle gear and a substantial enclosed cabin, with kits supplied for amateur construction. It was the first four-seat aircraft in Van's established RV range.

Homebuilt aircraft can differ in engines, avionics and interior equipment. The X-Plane implementation consequently represents a particular cockpit choice, including the avionics and trim controls documented by Laminar, rather than a universal factory-standard RV-10 panel.

ViperJet ↗Research-based aircraft background

ViperJet

Viper Aircraft's ViperJet packages two tandem seats beneath a canopy in a low-wing jet design. Side-mounted intakes feed the engine, and the landing gear retracts into the airframe. Composite construction is used throughout. The Aerobask ViperJet EX represents its own simulator version, with product features linked directly to the developer.

Westland Scout / Wasp ↗Research-based aircraft background

Westland Scout / Wasp

The Scout developed from the Saunders-Roe P.531 and became a British Army utility helicopter. Its compact cabin, exposed engine area and skid undercarriage suit its land-based role. The related Wasp shared origins and components but was adapted for naval operations.

The Wasp's wheeled undercarriage and shipboard equipment distinguish it from the Scout. A package containing both should therefore retain separate variant information. Their shared ancestry is useful background, while the cockpit and mission equipment belong to each individual aircraft.

Zivko Edge 540 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Zivko Edge 540

The Edge 540 pairs a compact low-wing airframe with a powerful piston engine. It was designed for demanding aerobatic competition and later became strongly associated with the Red Bull Air Race. A tandem-seat development, the Edge 540T, also exists.

Racing modifications and competition setups can change individual aircraft. The simulator's version and equipment therefore matter more than a headline roll-rate figure for the entire family. Photographs are captioned for the aircraft actually shown.

Zlin Aviation Savage Cub ↗Research-based aircraft background

Zlin Aviation Savage Cub

The Savage Cub is part of Zlin Aviation's lightweight recreational aircraft line. Its high wing, tandem cabin and tailwheel undercarriage recall the classic Cub pattern, with a compact airframe intended for light-aircraft flying.

The Cub is kept separate here from the later Norden and specialised Shock Ultra. Those aircraft share a family resemblance but bring different wing, engine and landing-gear developments. The simulator's model name is the useful starting point for selecting its equipment information.
