The Scout developed from the Saunders-Roe P.531 for British Army utility service. It used a compact cabin, exposed engine area and skid undercarriage. The related Wasp shared origins and components but was adapted for naval work.
Wasp versions have wheeled landing gear and shipboard equipment. Cockpit and mission details differ between the two branches.

VSKYLABS' XR-71 is a simulator testbed inspired by the SR-71. It has twin jets, retractable gear and flight-model-dependent inlet and centre-of-gravity behaviour. A D-21 payload changes the simulated weight and balance. The front cockpit is available, while rear-seat systems work remains incomplete.
