FOR AIRCRAFT DEVELOPERS

Research aircraft and systems

Find aircraft background, systems descriptions and manuals for the aircraft you are researching. Each note keeps its source and version context close by.

Simulator manuals describe the developer’s implementation. Aircraft background is research-based; pilot accounts describe an individual’s experience. Coverage here is limited to the selected notes and linked resources, not the full contents of every manual.

Beechcraft Bonanza family ↗Research-based aircraft background

Beechcraft Bonanza family

The Bonanza appeared in 1947 as an all-metal aircraft with retractable landing gear. Its distinctive early V-tail became one of general aviation's best-known silhouettes. Conventional-tail versions also developed into a major branch of the family, including the longer Model 36.

The V35 and G36 are therefore more than different panel options. Tail arrangement, fuselage and equipment distinguish the branches. Simulator products also range from conventional instruments to integrated glass cockpits, so aircraft identity and developer identity both matter when comparing them.

A tablet for cockpit setup and aircraft condition

The X-Plane 12 edition adds an EFB for loading and centre of gravity, interactive checklists, instrument pop-outs and aircraft options. Its engine page exposes condition information and options for spark-plug fouling and vapour lock. Static and recolourable dynamic liveries can be changed from within the aircraft.

Electrical failures and a custom fuel system

Just Flight describes a custom crossfeed fuel system and functional circuit breakers connected to X-Plane failure logic. The add-on also provides emergency landing-gear extension, carburettor and cowl-flap controls, electric trim, and a fan system linked to its electrical simulation.

Avionics and adjustable virtual control effort

The documented cockpit includes X-Plane’s GNS 430, KX 155 radio, KR 87 ADF and Century IV autopilot. DynaFeel adjusts the simulated pilot strength used to overcome control-surface aerodynamic forces. This is a flight-model option; the description does not establish force-feedback hardware output.
