Find aircraft background, systems descriptions and manuals for the aircraft you are researching. Each note keeps its source and version context close by.
Simulator manuals describe the developer’s implementation. Aircraft background is research-based; pilot accounts describe an individual’s experience. Coverage here is limited to the selected notes and linked resources, not the full contents of every manual.

Control-wheel steering and hardware options
PMDG documents autopilot reversion to control-wheel steering when the simulated controls are displaced. An aircraft option can instead ignore hardware input during autopilot operation. The introduction also gives electric-trim travel limits that depend on the 737 body variant. These are useful configuration details when comparing how a particular aircraft responds to a desktop control setup.

Use the maintainer's simulator-specific installation guidance
The Zibo maintainer distinguishes X-Plane 11 and 12 installation instructions and identifies official download and guide locations. That separation is useful for a frequently updated aircraft whose community references may discuss different simulator branches.

Released product and variants
The 737-200 Advanced is available as TwinJet V3 for XP11 and V4 for XP12. V4 adds a UNS-1 FMS retrofit, MFD-640 display, gravel kit and revised Sperry SP-77 autopilot modes. Those additions describe V4 and are not assumed for the older version.

MAX-specific systems
The developer describes MAX-specific cockpit displays and FMC pages, engine-start bowed-rotor motoring and selectable failures. These are attributed product features; they do not establish runtime behaviour for another 737 implementation.

Boeing 737 family
The first 737 flew in 1967. Boeing retained the six-abreast fuselage width familiar from its earlier jets while placing two engines under the wing. The aircraft subsequently developed through the Original, Classic, Next Generation and MAX generations.
That long development makes the variant suffix especially valuable. An early 737-200, a 737-800 and a 737 MAX do not share identical engines, displays or systems. Simulator products add another layer of variation, from bundled aircraft to specialist implementations with their own failures, options and documentation.

Passenger and freighter equipment are documented together
The MSFS 2024 guide explains an important fuel-system difference: the passenger 747-8i has a stabiliser tank, while the 8F does not. Its fuel feeds into the centre tank. The manual then follows the changing pump and crossfeed configuration as centre and main-tank fuel is consumed, making fuel management part of the documented long-haul workflow.

Acknowledging an autopilot disconnect
The guide recommends separate AUTOPILOT ON and AUTOPILOT OFF bindings. A further OFF command acknowledges the AUTOPILOT DISC warning; the master-warning control does not clear it. Using a toggle instead can engage the autopilot again. These are the manual’s simulator binding labels.

Engine covers affect a cold start
The cold-and-dark notes warn that fitted engine covers prevent a sustained start even though an engine may initially appear to spool up. The aircraft’s exterior equipment state therefore matters during preparation.
