Pilatus PC-24

The PC-24 paired a business-jet cabin with design attention to shorter and less conventional airfields. Its rear-mounted Williams engines leave the wing clear, while a large cargo door supports varied cabin roles. The first flight took place in 2015.

The aircraft is not simply a PC-12 with jet engines: it has a different airframe, propulsion system and flight deck. The family connection is the utility ambition. The simulator documentation is the source for its represented avionics and any special ground or cargo features.

Pilatus PC-6 B2 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Pilatus PC-6 B2

The Porter first flew in 1959 with piston power. Turboprop developments became particularly familiar in parachuting and remote-area transport. Its narrow fuselage, high wing and long landing-gear legs make a distinctive practical aircraft.

PC-6 variants differ in engines, limits and equipment. The B2 designation in the simulator is therefore useful, especially when comparing a Turbo Porter with the earlier piston design. Wheel and float options, cabin use and avionics belong to the individual package description.

Robinson R66 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Robinson R66

The R66 uses a Rolls-Royce RR300 turboshaft engine and includes a separate baggage compartment. Its outline remains recognisably related to the R44, with a two-bladed main rotor and a compact cabin. Certification was obtained in 2010.

The turbine engine is an important dividing line from the R22 and R44. Engine indications and management belong to the R66's own systems description, while avionics and stabilisation equipment depend on the installation represented by the simulator developer.

Sikorsky S-76 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Sikorsky S-76

The S-76 was Sikorsky's first helicopter developed specifically for the civil market. Twin turbine engines, a four-bladed main rotor and retractable landing gear support a broad range of passenger, offshore and emergency-service roles.

The programme includes several engine and avionics generations. An S-76C+ photograph, for example, illustrates a specific development. The simulator model's documented autopilot and cockpit equipment should remain attached to that version rather than treated as a universal S-76 specification.
