An ILS approach still requires manual speed control

The manual’s autopilot-assisted ILS follows the localiser and glideslope, while the pilot manages speed with the throttle and completes the flare and braking manually. This is the documented X-Plane procedure; later real-aircraft autothrottle and Safe Return accounts describe different equipment.

The Vision Jet's documented configuration

Laminar's SF50 guide covers flight controls, autopilot and trim/configuration indications. It supplies the cockpit reference for the bundled Vision Jet, with the represented equipment kept separate from later real-aircraft upgrades or another developer's package.

Cirrus Vision SF50

The Vision Jet applies Cirrus's personal-aircraft approach to a small jet. Its single turbofan is mounted above the fuselage, between the surfaces of the V-tail. The cabin and flight deck are arranged for an owner-pilot market, and the aircraft includes a whole-aircraft parachute system.

The SF50 is therefore a different proposition from a scaled-down twin-engine business jet. Equipment has evolved between generations, so avionics and automation features should be attached to the represented version rather than assumed from the Vision Jet name alone.

A documented Corvalis cockpit and checklist update

The May 2025 notes credit Carenado’s Corvalis TT version 1.0.7 with revised starting, takeoff and shutdown checklists, fuel-cap interaction and EFB performance-data fixes. They also list icing and acceleration corrections. The record establishes work on that revision, without claiming that every later package behaves identically.

Columbia 400 / Cessna Corvalis ↗Research-based aircraft background

Columbia 400 / Cessna Corvalis

Originally the Columbia 400, the aircraft became part of Cessna's range after the Columbia acquisition. It was marketed as the Corvalis, with later development leading to the TTx. Its smooth composite airframe is visually distinct from Cessna's traditional metal high-wing singles.

The fixed undercarriage is a useful reminder that a fast touring aeroplane does not necessarily need retractable gear. Columbia 400, Corvalis and TTx names also refer to equipment and production developments that should be kept in view when matching a manual to a simulator aircraft.
