This REP requires Thranda’s original XP11 Beaver. The store documents XP12 compatibility from REP 4.7.0, but explicitly says it does not work with the separate native Thranda Beaver XP12 aircraft.

The Beaver was developed around carrying practical loads into places with limited infrastructure. Its high wing and substantial doors suit passenger and cargo work, while wheels, skis and floats allow different operating environments. The familiar DHC-2 uses a nose-mounted radial engine.
Floatplane, wheeled and turbine-conversion Beavers have different equipment. Simulator documentation identifies the included configurations and any modern navigation or assistance systems.

Microsoft released the Caribou as Local Legend VIII alongside World Update XII: New Zealand in February 2023. The original package included seven liveries, spanning plain, striped and camouflage schemes. The MSFS 2024 edition inventory records its later inclusion.

The February 2023 Local Legend VIII release offers the Caribou in the MSFS 2020 Marketplace with seven liveries. It predates the later Aviator-edition inclusion.

The Caribou first flew in 1958. It was built to move personnel and cargo using relatively short airfields, pairing a high wing with a large loading ramp and rugged landing gear. Military operators formed a major part of its service history.
It is larger and more specialised than the Beaver, yet belongs to the same Canadian utility-aircraft tradition. Two piston engines and a large cargo cabin supported transport work beyond the capacity of lighter bush aircraft.

The MSFS 2024 manual identifies a Series 300 package with wheeled, ski and amphibious versions. The amphibian adds a panel gear lever and individual wheel-position lights: green for lowered wheels and blue for raised wheels.
