FOR AIRCRAFT DEVELOPERS

Research aircraft and systems

Find aircraft background, systems descriptions and manuals for the aircraft you are researching. Each note keeps its source and version context close by.

Simulator manuals describe the developer’s implementation. Aircraft background is research-based; pilot accounts describe an individual’s experience. Coverage here is limited to the selected notes and linked resources, not the full contents of every manual.

AEA Explorer 750T ↗Research-based aircraft background

AEA Explorer 750T

X-Hangar’s Explorer 750T is a single-turboprop simulator aircraft with G1000 avionics, offered with wheels or floats. The developer describes it as an extended development of the 500T. This reference concerns that developer model; the source does not establish an equivalent production 750T.

Optional navigation packages

Got Friends lists different installation requirements for PMS and TDS navigation products. PMS uses its base product without an extra aircraft pack; TDS requires a compatible base installation and Got Friends' expansion.

Aeroprakt A32 Vixxen

The A32 Vixxen in Got Friends' manual uses a 100 hp Rotax 912iS and a fixed three-bladed propeller. Its wheeled configurations use 15-inch or 17.6-inch tyres. Flaperons combine the functions associated with roll control and flap extension.

The simulator offers alternative GMC307 and KAP140 cockpit arrangements. Its pitch-trim lever is separate from those avionics choices, and cosmetic vibration has its own adjustment.

AgustaWestland AW109 ↗Research-based aircraft background

AgustaWestland AW109

The A109 originated with Agusta in Italy and continued through AgustaWestland into Leonardo. Its streamlined cabin, four-bladed main rotor and retractable undercarriage suited executive transport as well as emergency-service and other utility work.

Later developments changed engines, cabin details and avionics. The AW109SP represented by X-Trident is a particular modern version, with its own engine-management and automatic flight-control systems. The photographs include earlier A109 variants, with their model captions retained.

Airbus H145 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Airbus H145

The H145 developed through the BK 117 and EC145 line. Its roomy cabin has made the family useful for emergency medical services, police work and passenger transport. Later H145 developments introduced the enclosed Fenestron tail rotor and, subsequently, a five-bladed main rotor.

Earlier EC145s have a different rotor and tail arrangement from newer H145s. Avionics and automatic flight-control equipment also depend on the generation and installation. Each simulator product identifies its represented configuration.

Avionics update record

The August 2026 developer post records autopilot Heading, NAV and GPS fixes and G3X compatibility changes. It uses both 1.6.0 and 1.0.6 labels, leaving a version-label discrepancy within that account.

Ascendance ATEA concept

Hangar Studios 713's ATEA is an interpretation of a hybrid vertical-takeoff concept. Its custom flight behaviour covers hovering, transition and wing-borne cruise, with functional avionics in the simulator cockpit.

The product is described as a concept interpretation. Its simulated flight characteristics belong to that design, without an established production-aircraft handling history.

BAe 146 / Avro RJ ↗Research-based aircraft background

BAe 146 / Avro RJ

The BAe 146 was developed for short-haul airline service, with -100, -200 and -300 fuselage lengths. Its high wing and T-tail make it readily recognisable. The Avro RJ continued the family with revised engines, avionics and other systems.

The 146 and RJ have different flight-guidance systems and cockpit arrangements. Just Flight documents them in separate manuals and a differences guide.

Beechcraft Baron 58 / G58 ↗Research-based aircraft background

Beechcraft Baron 58 / G58

The Baron entered the Beechcraft range in 1961, developing from the earlier Travel Air. Its retractable landing gear and two wing-mounted piston engines provide the familiar outline of a light touring twin. Several fuselage and engine combinations appeared over the family's long history.

The Model 58 and glass-cockpit G58 share a recognisable shape while representing different equipment generations. The simulator products span conventional-instrument aircraft and modern G58s, with avionics and systems described for each.
