FOR AIRCRAFT DEVELOPERS

Research aircraft and systems

Find aircraft background, systems descriptions and manuals for the aircraft you are researching. Each note keeps its source and version context close by.

Simulator manuals describe the developer’s implementation. Aircraft background is research-based; pilot accounts describe an individual’s experience. Coverage here is limited to the selected notes and linked resources, not the full contents of every manual.

Pilatus PC-12 NGX

Pilatus designed the PC-12 for business and utility transport. A low wing, retractable gear, rear cargo door and single Pratt & Whitney Canada turboprop support executive, regional-service and air-ambulance roles.

The NGX is a later development with updated engine management and cockpit equipment. Earlier PC-12 aircraft have different systems and performance specifications.

Different assistance by axis

The flight evaluation describes pitch as mechanically reversible, allowing aerodynamic loads to act through the controls. Roll uses boosted ailerons and roll spoilers. It also reports the real aircraft's trim aid device moving the rudder pedals. These are descriptions of the aircraft mechanisms and the evaluator's experience.

The IRIS cockpit

IRIS's manual identifies three-axis trim indications, a PT6 turboprop, retractable gear and flaps. It marks the TAD cockpit toggle as unimplemented and describes optional GTN750 integration and custom display pages.

Pilatus PC-21

The PC-21's control system uses different mechanisms in pitch and roll. A Pilatus-hosted flight evaluation describes mechanically reversible pitch control, hydraulically boosted ailerons and roll spoilers. The real aircraft's trim aid device can move the rudder pedals.

IRIS represents the turboprop trainer with retractable landing gear, flaps and three-axis trim indications. Its manual marks the TAD cockpit toggle as unimplemented, so the real system and the available simulator control have separate descriptions.

A documented revision to the PC-24’s systems

Microsoft’s May 2025 Sim Update 2 notes identify Carenado PC-24 version 1.0.9 and list work on electrical setup, pressurisation, fuel and environmental displays, checklists and takeoff/landing data. This records a specific package update; it does not establish the state of a later installed version.

Pilatus PC-24

Pilatus designed the PC-24 to combine a business-jet cabin with access to shorter and less conventional airfields. Rear-mounted Williams engines leave the wing clear, and a large cargo door supports several cabin roles. It first flew in 2015.

The PC-24 shares the PC-12's utility emphasis through a separate jet airframe, propulsion system and flight deck. Simulator documentation describes the represented avionics, ground and cargo features.
